Keeper Log Product’s Slab Siding is available in hewn or rough-sawn face, with one straight edge for installation ease and one natural edge for character. The straight edge is hewn to give the edge a natural look, while the slab side is available with a dovetail end on one or both ends. The dovetail end is approximately 6” thick x 8” tall, and is cut from the end of the log from which the siding is milled. This is seamless and after installation it will have the appearance of a solid log.
An additional corner option is a ¾ log corner with the siding butting into a flat edge provided on the corner log.
Because of the unique milling process Keeper Log is able to produce Dovetail corners on both ends of the siding for a realistic and seamless log effect. This requires working closely with your contractor reviewing the drawings, taking field measurements (when applicable) and cataloging the pieces for delivery.
