Keeper Log Product’s ½ Log Siding is Hand-Peeled, either Skip Peel (leaving some cambium on the log) or clean Peeled. The natural edge siding is ideal for creating a chink style log look. On average it is thicker than D-Log Siding, typically ½ the width. The width of the natural edge siding will taper in width; the longer the siding, more the taper. (A 16’ ½ Log Siding will increase 2-3” in width.) D-Log Siding will be milled to consistent dimensions the entire length of the siding, with 6”, 8”, and 10” widths as standard. The thickness will be from 2” to 4”.

Keeper Log Product’s Log Siding can also have a log tail on one or both ends of the siding. (The tail is part of the log from which the siding was milled.) It is a continuous, seamless tail from the siding and ideal for the handcrafted log home look. The log tails can be notched at Keeper Log Products for easy installation, or delivered raw for you to create your own log project.
